I scored a 270 on my USMLE Step 1 not by being a genius or studying more hours than anyone else. Rather, armed with a series of key tools, I was orders of magnitude more efficient at learning and retaining material. With these tools, I succeeded beyond my wildest dreams, including receiving honors on all of my 3rd year shelf exams and a prestigious HHMI Medical Research Fellowship.
My first love has always been teaching. I have worked countless hours as a TA, tutor, and panelist. In the process I have been named “Outstanding TA” at Stanford Medical School, been asked to lead learning skills workshops, and had some of my work featured in a perspective piece in the New England Journal of Medicine.
My proudest accomplishment, however, is having helped my fellow students to achieve their dream scores on the USMLE exams, by teaching the same skills and methods that propelled me beyond my wildest fantasies prior to entering medical school (See: Testimonials).
Here, I share all of the tools I developed, to lay the foundation for your future success in medicine.
